Comedy Central’s “Key & Peele” Ending After Current Season

By  |

Comedians Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele told The Wrap that they are ending their Comedy Central sketch comedy series “Key & Peele.”

“This is our final season — and it’s not because of Comedy Central, it’s us,” Jordan Peele told The Wrap. “It was just time for us to explore other things, together and apart. I compare it to Gene Wilder and Richard Pryor. We might make a movie and the do our own thing for three years and then come back and do another movie.”

The show hit us by storm in January of 2012 and has been a hit series ever since. To some, the “Key & Peele” show filled a void left by the Chappelle Show, which ended in 2005.

Jordan Peele also took to Twitter.

Comedy Central will air the final 8 episodes of “Key & Peele” for the current season.
